I had the opportunity to review Curious the Cat with the Blue/Red Backpack. I wrapped this up for Big Brother for Christmas and it has since become one of his best buddies around the house. He loves cats and we have an all black cat he adores so this was perfect for him.
These little guys are unique in that they are plump and playful with big features and quirky little details. Just the right amount of fun and cuteness to grab a child's attention. They also have a secret little zipper on the back in which hides a little attached blanket. Just enough for fun and comfort. The Patch Buddies themselves are about 7 inches tall.
The backpack is much bigger than I had anticipated. About 14 inches tall it has a good amount of space inside. The pocket for the Patch Buddy is pretty big and you don't have to worry about your buddy falling out, but it does take up quite a bit of room in the pack when stuffed. But this would still be great for traveling, school, library, sleepovers, etc. All the little things that small kids do and don't need a full on backpack. Big Brother is 4 and the backpack fits him perfectly.
Patch Buddies come in 14 different characters. Some animals and some little buddy characters. The backpacks come in 5 different color combinations. So there is a combination for everyone. Mix and match and collect all the buddies!
The only thing I noticed that I didn't love about Patch Buddies was the smell. And it was only on the backpack not the buddy. They have a strong plastic/fabric smell when you first take them out of the bag. They need a little airing out and then it has been fine.
