Mother’s Day Cloth Diaper Giveaway Hop {Sponsor Spotlight}: Smush Tush Cloth Diapers

I am so excited to share my review of Smush Tush Cloth Diapers. Not only because the diapers are fantastic but because Kat, the owner and designer of Smush Tush is a fellow Oregonian! We're practically neighbors! :o) And there is nothing I like better than working with other Mom's, but it is even more fun when they happen to be local and we can team up!

About Smush Tush
The owner Kat is a mother of two under the age of three and a part-time pediatric RN. Talk about a busy mama! She believes in cloth diapering, saving money and keeping our landfills free from everlasting disposable diaper garbage!  And not only is Kat one busy mama, but she is a giver too! $1 of every sale goes to a Morale Fund for patients and their families at the Doernbecher Children's Hospital Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit in Portland, Oregon.

Smush Tush Review
I still find it so funny how we can get so attached and "LOVE" a diaper. I mean it is still a diaper right? Yet when I opened my package of Smush Tush and found the Comic Book print diaper, so bright and vibrant and all crazy boy looking...yep I loved it!

This comic book print diaper I was so lucky to have a chance to review is a one-size pocket style diaper. The one size rise fits approximately 10 pounds through potty training. Meaning you won't have to be purchasing any other diapers. The outside comic print is PUL waterproof fabric and the inside is a soft black micro fleece, ensuring stay-dry wicking on your baby. The leg and pocket elastics are triple stitched and the snaps are reinforced and both guaranteed forever. Yes you read that right...FOREVER!

This diaper was an excellent fit on my son who is 14 months old and about 22 pounds. No sagging, no gaps, no leaks or blowouts. The pocket is easy to stuff and the insert stays in. I'm usually a hook and loop girl but the snap setup on this diaper was easy to use and get a custom fit. It was also great because my son could not undo the snaps :o)

I also really loved that this diaper has 4 rise settings. Normally my son is on the largest rise, but on this diaper the best fit was the 3rd rise leaving some extra growth. This is also a very trim diaper, of course depending on your insert you can make it as trim or padded as you wish.
This diaper is also a great because you can throw the whole thing in the wash. I didn't pull out my insert prior to washing and it was only partly out when the cycle was done. So you might want to pull out your insert prior to washing. However my insert was still perfectly clean so it wasn't an issue for me. You also want to make sure to line dry the diaper, and with the cozy fleece and PUL it dries very quickly.

You can purchase Smush Tush here on Kat's Etsy site. This one-size pocket style diaper is $19 and does not come with inserts. She also offers newborn cloth diaper covers, one-size cloth diaper covers, organic hemp soakers, microfiber soakers and flannel wipes. And best of all you can completely customize your own pocket diaper, right down to the snap colors!
Here are a few other options you can purchase from Smush tush!
Make sure you keep up with Smush Tush on Facebook as well for updated fabrics and more!

So why wouldn't you buy a Smush Tush diaper? I don't know! Made by another Mom, soft cool, unique fabrics, stitching and snaps guaranteed forever plus $1 of each sale going to help the Children's Pediatric Unit. This all sounds pretty good to me.

And Kat is not only a giver to the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit, she is a giver to one of my readers as well! One of my lucky readers will WIN a Smush Tush Diaper of their choice as part of the Mother's Day Cloth Diaper Giveaway Hop starting May 1st! So make sure you come back and enter to win this diaper and other fantastic diapers and accessories!
