Shindigz Race Car Party Review & Giveaway

If you read my previous post you will know we just celebrated Little Brother's 2nd Birthday. We had a big race car themed party and it turned out amazing!
I decorated to the max in checkered flags, balloons and cars galore with a little help from my friends at Shindigz!

Shindigz is a family owned online party store! With over 34,000 items and absolutely the best customer service, they are ready to help you plan your party whether for 5 or 500! If you have an idea in mind for a party, chances are they have everything you need to execute and have the party of a lifetime!

Shindigz had everything and more I needed to decorate and plan for this race car themed party. I spent close to $100 (including shipping) for a huge box of goodies and basically everything I needed, minus the food.
Here is a list of my loot:
1 - Roll out road
4 - black and white checkered plastic table cloths
2 - red plastic table cloths
1 - red paper table cloth
2 - black and white checkered pennant flag banners
4 - set of 8 Cars paper cups
2 - packages of black and white checkered flag napkins
1 - pack of red balloons
1 - pack of black balloons
1 - pack of green balloons
1 - #2 Birthday candle
1 - black poster paint marker
1 - black twirly whirly ceiling decorations
1 - box of mini gummy hamburgers
10 - water race wheel games
1 - pack of black plastic forks

See I told you it was a lot! You can see here in all the photos where all my goodies were put to good use!

The plastic checkered table cloths are so affordable and I used them everywhere! From the ceilings, to the signs, to the table and the light fixture. I added the black twirly whirly ceiling decorations to add some additional whimsy fun and really make the house feel party like.
The checkered flag pennants made the entrance of the house and Little Brother's name banner. I plan to use these in his car themed bedroom now, affordable and double duty!
The roll out road entrance was a hit and added just another touch of fun. It is a quality material like fabric, not plastic and held up to many feet trampling over it. It says it can even be used outdoors. Note though I would not recommend using the sticky tape tabs on the back to tack it to the floor. The sticky does not want to come off of my laminate floors, even with some Goo Gone. It has taken some major scrubbing. I think I would just use some packing tape or something similar and tape down a few edges.
The gummy hamburgers were also a fun little extra. Shindigz not only carries your traditional party supplies but fun little items like the hamburgers and other party snacks and treats.
I was able to put together cute and simple little favor bags for all the kids with the water racing wheel games. It was something a little bit different for the kids. Both of my boys have had great fun playing the game and even myself. It is very difficult to get all the rings on the pegs! I would suggest these for a bit older children than two though, as Little Brother tends to drop his and it will shatter on the floor every time.
I absolutely love the poster paint markers they carry. I make a lot of signs and posters for the boys parties and I am always using a black Sharpie marker which takes forever! This is like a little jar of paint with a padded top for writing, painting, etc. We used it for this party to decorate our cardboard race car!
Everything I ordered was nice quality and the prices were affordable. The balloons were BIG, the forks were heavy duty plastic and I was so impressed with the number of items to choose from and how everything goes together so nicely.
I didn't order any, but Shindigz also creates personalized products for your parties as well. From favors to banners to napkins and more. I'm telling you they have so many themes and products I could never list them all. Prom, sports teams, casino, holidays and so many more. You must take a look for yourself and plan a party!

Shindigz is always having great sales and specials and they promise the lowest price guarantee! If you find the exact same item someplace else for less and let them know, they will beat the price by 10%! So make sure you follow them on all their social media to keep up to date with all their new items and specials. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and some very fun ideas on YouTube!

Working with Shindigz has been a great experience. Their customer service is great and shipping was very quick. They made sure everything made it to me in plenty of time before my party. I can't say enough good things about this company. I of course love to support them as they are a small family run business as well.

Planning parties for my boys is so much fun. It can be a lot of work and of course time, but with a little help from Shindigz and one stop shopping you can eliminate a little stress and focus on the fun!

WIN IT! Planning a party soon? Why not give Shindigz a try! Shindigz is offering one of my lucky readers a $50 gift certificate to their store! $50 will get you well on your way if not everything you need for your next big bash! So go ahead and enter below! Good luck!

Little Brother's 2nd Birthday - Race Car Party

We just celebrated Little Brother's 2nd Birthday! Oh man where does the time go! I am already missing the baby stages and not enjoying the terrible 2 year old tantrums.

Little Brother is a race car fanatic all the way. It was clear many months before his party on what my theme would be. I started my Pinterest board (I mean is there any other way to do it anymore? Such amazing ideas!) and started planning! I wanted the party to be more race car rather than Disney "Cars" themed.

With a little help from my friends over at Shindigz I was able to plan, decorate and execute a super fun day for the Birthday Boy!

Here is the invitation I designed for the big event! I absolutely loved how it turned out and how unique it was. (Credit to my big sis for the key chain idea)

And here is my adorable and now 2 year old race car driver!
Most of the party decorations were made with simple and inexpensive plastic checkered tablecloths. I even used some here to make my entry sign borders.
The ceiling decoration is again plastic tablecloths cut in half and taped to the ceiling. I found this idea on Pinterest and have to say this really made the house feel like a party and was so easy to do. (Well minus my tape not sticking.) The one on Pinterest had a few more swags and I originally was going to do red between the swags but in my small house I decided it would be too much.

Favor bags for all the kids included a water wheel racing game, a gummy hamburger, Disney Cars coloring pages and stickers and Disney Cars band-aids. Each with their name on it and the saying "I hope you had a wheelie fun time". They were simple and cute and the water game was fun a different.

I found these cupcake wrappers and pick sets at my local TJ Maxx a few months before the party. I knew I had to have them and would be perfect for Little Brother's upcoming party. They turned out so so cute and I couldn't have been happier.

I made simple chocolate cake cupcakes and then topped them with an Oreo Cream Cheese Frosting, a full sized Oreo wheel and the car pick. I then placed them on a race track that we already had (another Pinterest idea) and oh my gosh did it not turn out just so adorable! Also no car party would be complete without spare tires (chocolate covered donuts) and dip sticks (chocolate dipped pretzel rods). I also had a jar of "spare parts" with black, green and red licorice to match the color theme and mini gummy hamburgers also completed the cupcake table.
A full pit-stop lunch was provided which consisted of pepperoni pizza, wiener wraps and racing wheel pasta salad. My wiener wraps were suppose to be little cars (thank you Pinterest) however as guests started arriving, olive wheels all of a sudden seemed less important. Hungry guests don't wait!

The motor oil stand was surprisingly a hit! No pit stop would be complete without it!
Here are some of the kids enjoying the party at the kid table! And a fun little car Big Brother and I made using an old tv box. I have to say it turned out pretty good!

Little Brother had his own special cake with a dirt road and who else but Lightning McQueen on it! He happily dipped, drove and used his car as an eating utensil!
Happy Birthday little buddy! Looking forward to what this next year will bring! Love this little race car driver!
