Peter Rabbit Organics Review

I try to make my kids snacks be as healthy as possible. This isn't too hard when we are at home, however if we are traveling or out and about it becomes a bit harder. I need something easy and convenient to throw in the diaper bag. Something that won't be a pile of crumbs or all over my diaper bag and something that doesn't have to be kept cold.

That is where Peter Rabbit Organics fruit and veggie snacks come in! Peter Rabbit snacks are always 100% organic, 100% healthy and always 100% delicious! They have no added sugar, no added salt and nothing artificial. The best part is they come in the fun squeezy pouches that are BPA FREE, have a no-choke cap and my boys gobble them up!

Peter Rabbit Organics is a small, privately-owned company.  And guess what? They are from Oregon - yay! Another fellow Oregonian company I'm happy to support! They started their company for the same reason I love their snacks, they wanted to provide a healthy, delicious, convenient snack for you and your family!

Peter Rabbit Organics Review
Peter Rabbit sent me 3 different pouches to sample and try. The Peach/Apple, Pea, Spinach and Apple, and the Mango, Banana & Orange pouch. My boys were ready to gobble them up as soon as I opened the box from the mail. However I like to save these snacks as I mentioned above for our travel snacks.

We had the perfect opportunity a few days later when we went to a local college baseball game. They were the perfect snack to take! It took them a little while to eat so it kept them occupied and happy, no spilling and huge mess, their tummy's were full and best of all they weren't full of junk.

I especially love that they have a resealable cap, so there is no waste. If your little one doesn't eat the whole pouch, just put the lid back on and save it for later. I also love that because they are so fun to eat and they offer fruit/veggie mixes, your kids will eat down their share of veggies with no fights!

Flavors Offered:
FRUIT
• Peach & Apple
• Mango, Banana & Orange
• Strawberry & Banana
• Apple & Grape
• Pear & Apple
• Banana & Apple

VEGGIE BLENDS
• Carrot, Squash & Apple
• Pea, Spinach & Apple
• Sweet Potato, Corn & Apple
• Pumpkin, Carrot & Apple
• Pear & Pea

The pouches are perfect for age 6 months and up. My 1 year old can eat from them pretty good with no mess. Works best if the pouch isn't completely full at this age.

Peter Rabbit Organics snacks are in many stores nationwide like REI, Starbucks, Albertsons & More. And you can find them online at many name brand stores like Target.com, Amazon.com, Diapers.com and more!

Make sure you keep up to date with Peter Rabbit Organics on Facebook and Twitter too!

WIN IT: I love Peter Rabbit Organics and I know you will too! Peter Rabbit is offering 10 assorted pouches to one of my readers in the upcoming Sunsational Summer Giveaway Hop starting June 7th! Please make sure to come back and enter to win this and other fantastic prizes!

Black Bean Chicken Quesadilla Recipe

This is one of my families favorite go to recipes. It is a fairly quick throw together meal that even your kids will love. Yes I know the cheddar cheese soup is not the most healthful, however when you need a quick meal this is great to have on hand! I've slowly adapted the recipe over the years, and have "healthed" it up a bit by adding the black beans, corn and brown rice. I'm sure you could even make your own "real" cheese mixture if you wanted to.

Black Bean Chicken Quesadilla Recipe
1lb skinless, boneless chicken breast
1 can Campbell's Cheddar Cheese Soup
1/2 to 1 cup salsa
1 cup cooked brown rice
1 can or approx. 1 cup black beans (drained and rinsed)
1 cup frozen or fresh corn
10 tortillas

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
2. Cut chicken into small pieces and cook in a nonstick skillet until done and no longer pink.
Add soup and salsa and heat through.

3. Add your cooked rice, black beans and corn. Stir.

4. Cut your tortillas in half and spread about 1/3 cup of soup mixture on each tortilla. Fold in half and
    place on baking sheet.

5. Bake for about 5-10 minutes or until tortillas are slightly crisp.
I don't usually measure when I make this, so I have estimated the amounts. Feel free to play with more or less of each ingredient to make it your own!

We usually have a few leftover and I love to grab one cold for breakfast too!

ENJOY!

Shake, Rattle & Roll (Sponsor Spotlight): BabbaCo.

Big Brother is always asking me if I have a project for him. And other than taking his folded laundry to his room, picking up his toys or fetching some item or another for me, I usually don't have a set "project" for him. I'd love to have it all together and have all the crafty items on hand to be able to give him a new fun project when he's feeling bored. This is where my next sponsor BabbaCo. comes in!

BabbaCo. has created the BabbaBox and it is a fun, unique idea that you and your kids will both love!
What is BabbaBox?
BabbaBox is a monthly subscription themed box targeted toward 3-6 year olds. Each box has 4 major components inside.
    • Create
    • Explore
    • Story Tell
    • Connect

Create is hands on projects (2-3 per box), Explore is a theme based product that involves your child with the world and nature, Story Tell is a book that goes along with the theme of the box and stimulates your kids imagination and Connect is interactive learning tools approved by BabbaCo experts.

You sign up for a monthly or annual membership and get a box full of activities delivered right to your door each month! All the materials and instructions you need for each project and activity are all included in the box.

BabbaBox Review
Who doesn't like getting packages in the mail, right? Well imagine if you could expect this bright green, totally fun box EVERY month. Oh wait, I mean what if your KIDS could expect and look forward to receiving this fun box each month? :o) Well after all this is a box full of activities for both you and your kids to do together, so you can BOTH look forward to it each month!
Our box arrived and Big Brother could hardly wait to open it. I had to hold him back so I could make sure and get my review pictures first. The theme of our box is Sun, Moon & Stars. How exciting!
In our box is a shiny star wine stopper, a gift for Mom and Dad from BabbaCo. Very Cool. A set of mini binoculars, a book, two project packs, a lunar calendar, and a card with information on how to redeem our digital content. Of course everything included goes along with the box theme.
The binoculars are the first thing out of the box, along with the book. And when I say book, I mean a very nice hardback, paper jacket book. A beautiful addition to any child's book collection. Thirty minutes after the box has arrived we have already read the book and are moving on to projects.
Our first project is creating a paper mache moon nightlight. FUN! And when they say everything is included to make the projects, they mean EVERYTHING! This fun moon nightlight even comes with a battery operated flickering candle tea light. What a clever idea. We have gotten as far as getting the paper ripped up and ready. But plan to start part one of the project tomorrow. As you can see from the picture, you get very nice detailed instructions and high quality supplies. (I will update this post with pictures of the finished project as soon as it is finished)
Project #2 is a Constellation Frame. It comes with something called Sunprint Paper, where you use the power of the sun to make your picture. I can't wait to try this out. Today we had rain, so we had to wait. Again, complete detailed instructions and a project that is perfect for you and your child to do together.
Our "Connect" card is information on how to redeem and download our Twinkle Twinkle Little Star PreSchool Storybook Piano app.

I think this is such a great idea. Something to look forward to each month and get your kids really involved in learning. Boxes start at just $29.99 per month with each box having a retail value of $40-$50. BabbaCo. has done all the research for you. You just get to enjoy the time and learning with your kids!

You can also give BabbaBox as a gift! What a fun, unique gift to surprise your child or a friend!

Shake, Rattle & Roll (Sponsor Spotlight): Outdoor Adventure Kid Co.

(You can now purchase Oakiwear at my Kids, Clutter & Chaos store! We love this product so much we now sell it too!)

My family and I love to be outdoors. We live in Oregon and camp as often as we can. Rain or shine. So when I came across my next sponsor and found we are Pacific NW Neighbors, I was so excited to try their products!

Outdoor Adventure Kids (or Oaki Wear) was so generous to let me review their Neoprene Rain Boots and Oaki Kids Rain Jacket and Pants Set.

About Outdoor Adventure Kids
Oaki believes in kids being kids, outdoors! They believe kids should be outside playing, in the mud, in the streams, hiking, boating or even just looking for frogs! All the fun things that nurture their creativity and build a love for nature. They also know how much work it can be for parents to clean and care for these wet, messy children once they come inside. This is why they created Oaki, an all children's line of affordable rain and outdoor wear!

Oaki is committed to bringing you affordable outerwear for your kids. When you purchase from Oaki, you are paying only for the gear. They have cut out all extra costs and put 95% of all their proceeds right back into product development and expansion. They offer $5 flat rate shipping on all US orders and all orders ship in 24 hours. Plus they have a one year warranty.

Outdoor Adventure Kids Review
So as I mentioned we live in Oregon. It is May. It always rains in May. Well guess what? We've had beautiful warm sunshine for the past couple weeks. Not that I don't LOVE the sunshine. But this makes it very hard to review a rain set and boots. At least for the "rain" part. So we did the next best thing....we turned on the sprinklers and geared up!
Big Brother was SO excited! Not only does he love the rain outfit and boots, but the fact that he got to run through the sprinklers fully clothed. He requested we do this everyday!

I am so in love with our Oaki set and boots. The moment I opened the package and saw first hand the quality, I knew I would be buying my kids rain gear from them for life. I have big name brand gear that can't even come close to the quality of Oaki, and which of course costs much much more. My husband was so impressed he wanted to know if they made adult sizes too!

Oaki Kids Rain Jacket & Pants Set Features:
    • Tough rip-stop nylon construction
    • Fully taped seams
    • Hood attached
    • Reflective tape on arms and chest
    • 2 hand warming pockets on front
    • Rubberized neoprene, adjustable wrists to seal water out
    • Fully mesh lined for comfort and easy to put on
    • PVC FREE!
    • Pants: Comfy neoprene waist & cuffs with adjustable Velcro closure

My absolute favorite part of this rain set is the neoprene on the wrists, ankles and waist. You can Velcro it tight to keep the water out, and it is so soft and comfortable. Plus when they stick their hands in the water it stays dry and keeps the water out! I've never seen anything like this on any other gear for kids.

The water beaded up and just rolled off this gear so easily. The hood has elastic for a nice fit that doesn't just blow off. After about a half hour running in the water, Big Brother was still completely dry except a bit of hair that was peaking out of the hood.

Big Brother will be 4 in July and is on the small size for weight and the tall side for height. I got him a size 4/5 and although it is a big big on him still, it wasn't so big that it was uncomfortable or too big to wear.

Oaki Kids Neoprene Rain Boots Review
Again amazing quality for affordable kids rain boots. If you have kids you've had a million pair of cheap rubber rain boots. Their heavy, they crack, their cold. Not these! They are completely neoprene lined with 5mm neoprene. They are comfortable, durable and so easy to put on. They can be used as either a rain boot or with a thick sock, a snow boot. I know that makes me happy. Purchase one set of boots and your done!

Features:
    • Completely neoprene lined boot
    • Top quality durable rubber casing with a great tread
    • Work great as rain boots or snow boots
    • Pull tab for easy on
    • 1 year warranty

If you have kids you must check out Outdoor Adventure Kid Company. From rain boots, to rain gear to fishing waders and flashlights. High quality, affordable kids outdoor gear. I cannot say enough good things about this gear and company. AMAZING!

Check them out here on Facebook!

WIN IT! Make sure you come back on Tuesday May 22nd for the Shake, Rattle & Roll Giveaway Hop! Outdoor Adventure Kids Company has generously offered one of my readers a chance to win a pair of their Neoprene Boots AND either their rain jacket and pants set or a one piece rain suit! Over $60 retail value!
