Mia Mariu Mineral Makeup Review & Giveaway

I've recently had my "mom" look a little more put together lately. In part because I'm really trying to dress and look nicer even if we have no place to go. And also in part thanks to Mia Mariu line of makeup!

I'm not a big makeup wearer. I guess because to me it takes too much time and also because when I'm at home I just don't care that much. Maybe also a little bit because I don't really know how to use it all well. (psst... I"ll share a little secret with you...I don't even own a curling iron! Say what!?!) Yeah that takes too much time too :)

I had the opportunity to try the Mineral Cream Foundation, Mineral Cream Concealer and the Eye Shadow duo from Mia. What a difference just those three products have made. I can honestly say I have been at least putting on the foundation nearly every day. And even though it is not tons of makeup, it is just the little bit of put together I need each day here with my boys.

The Mineral Cream Foundation is my favorite. It comes with a sponge applicator and I've found it is best to just dab on the makeup instead of rubbing it in. It sits nicely on your skin and blends well. It covers any imperfections without looking like you put on gobs of foundation. A little goes a long way. My only note about this foundation would be that it is a little dry. It may not be the best for people with dry skin. I put it on over my daily face lotion and it still has a bit of a dryness to it.

My color is vainilla..funny yes. Mia has a perfect tone chart to help you find your perfect shade. I have to say mine was spot on for extremely light skin such as mine.

The Mineral Cream Concealer is awesome too. A little dab with my finger over the foundation and I have a perfect look. The color vainilla matched the foundation perfectly and again a little goes a long way and this will last me quite awhile.

The Eye Shadow Duo comes in 5 different color pairs. I went a little out of my comfort zone and went with a brown/tan pairing called Romance de OtoƱo. I decided I have a drawer of silvers and grays which is what I normally wear so when I put the brown shadow on I wasn't sure I liked it. The colors pair nicely together but I just wasn't used to brown. Now after wearing it a few times I think it looks good and I'm getting used to it. After an all day wear I did notice some creasing and fading of the shadow. Well what do you think?

[Description: Made with pure minerals and luxurious color pigments, this formula glides gently on your skin and stays on for hours without smudging, fading or creasing.
