Conceive Easy Review

Hello, my name is Cali and I am lucky enough to be Jesi's older sister. For all of you that follow her blog and are getting to know her one post at a time, you can tell what a wonderful, kind and thoughtful person she is. She makes sure to choose to blog about products she stands behind and then spends a quality amount of time on each of her posts to be sure that she adequately and fairly represents these companies. The amount of care she puts into each of these blog posts are just a glimpse into how much she cares for her family and friends as well. I am one of those truly lucky individuals to have her care for me.

As you know, Jesi has two boys already, which are the cutest nephews a girl could ask for, they are truly so much fun and I wish I could see them every day. I am now 33 years old, and took my time in finding Mr. Right and now that I have, we are wanting to start a family of our own...and give Jesi some nieces and nephews or her own to love on. Unfortunately, we miscarried in March, 2011 and have yet to conceive since. So my loving sister Jesi, found a wonderful company, Conceive Easy that offers a free kit to help women conceive. You sign up to receive their free kit on their website and here is what comes with it:
  • Getting Stated Calendar
  • Fertibella Conceive Easy pills months 1 & 2
  • 10 Ovulation Tests (but you can choose to receive all 20 instead)
  • 10 Early Pregnancy Tests (but you can choose to receive all 20 instead)
  • Digital Thermometer
I mean wow! That is a huge savings for us just in pregnancy and ovulation tests alone! The kit normally costs $39.95 plus shipping (although the value is estimated at $152), but you get everything listed above for FREE. If you then want to purchase more of the Fertibella Conceive Easy pills, you can, but I had a hard time finding where you can do this online. I did however find a by phone option: You may also purchase Fertibella ConceiveEasy by telephone, by calling Customer Service at 1-800-6-TTCKIT. Available Monday through Friday, from 9am-5pm EST.

For my journey, I have chosen not to take the Fertibella pills at this time, but am holding on to them as a back up plan. I have talked it over with my doctor and we are now trying acupuncture that have given us some amazing results that we want to pursue further for the time being. I will update you all if we should come back and revisit taking the Fertibella pills and of course let you know the results from those as well.

I did however use the ovulation tests and pregnancy tests that were included with the Conceive Easy Kit. Those were an amazing asset to us. I had never used ovulation tests before so to have some assistance with finding the time I was actually ovulating was quite helpful. Ever since being pregnant, my body has been all over the place in terms of ovulating. So with these tests, I found out I was ovulating on the 11th day of my cycle one month, the 13th day of my cycle another and the 17th day of my cycle on yet another. This made it hard to know each month without them, when I was actually ovulating since my body was not being consistent. I also found out when using these tests, that some months, I wasn't getting a positive result at all, which meant I didn't ovulate that month. I then could take this information back to my doctor to help her better evaluate my situation. My doctor said these over the counter tests are very accurate and to continue using then to help us conceive.

The kit also came with a thermometer to test your basil body temperature. It is best to take your temperature first thing in the morning. I found that my average temperature in the morning was about 97.5, a full degree from what I thought was normal. But I have asked my doctor and she said this is normal, that most people are around this same 97.5 first thing in the morning. One thing I really liked about this thermometer is that it remembers my temperature from the day before and tells me before I test the next day. That was pretty helpful in case you are like me and forget to write it down right away. Overall, I found that it was hard to test myself each day and actually see a rise in temperature. I liked using the ovulation tests far better. I like seeing a positive double line...can you blame me? :)
We are currently using the ovulation tests along with the acupuncture to help with my fertility. With acupuncture, the needles are placed in energy points linked to the reproductive organs to improve energy flow to those areas and hopefully improve blood supply to the ovaries, which improves their function, and the uterus, which can make it easier to nourish a fetus and reduce the risk of miscarriage. We have decided to try this for a several months before taking any pills, hormones or extreme measures.

Basically this Conceive Easy Kit is great starting place. The only down side I saw to using the kit was that it didn't come with a lot of information. Yes, there is a calendar which helped to track your temperature etc. and some information on how easy it is to become a club member, but I would have liked some more information on what your basil body temperature is, how it works and how .2 degrees could be all that you are looking for in change and why. I also would have liked more information on the Fertibella pills, what is in them and how they are helpful. Even on their website, it lists an herb and what it is in the pill for...but what about where it came from, how safe is it, and does it affect any other medications.

If you are like me, you grew up thinking that you could have sex one time and get pregnant. And for 15 years I took birth control religiously hoping to prevent myself from getting pregnant until I was financially and emotionally ready. The reality is that you have one egg...only if you actually ovulate this month, and one sperm...only if they are not too old or not too young and strong enough to make the journey, and you have one day or maybe two if you are lucky, to actually get the two together at the right moment. Who knew it would be this difficult?! I feel for all of you women out there that like me, that waited until you were ready and are now having a hard time conceiving. It isn't easy I know, and I wish you all the best and hope that this kit helps each of you out like it has helped me at the very least. Best of luck to you all soon-to-be mommies!

Special Thanks to my sister for guest posting on this very personal product and time in her life. Love her and can't wait to be an auntie too! - Jesi

  1. The accessories are cute and useful, but what on earth are Fertibella pills? Sounds quackery-ish. I went the low-cost route and bought my own BBT thermometer, a copy of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" (http://www.amazon.com/Taking-Charge-Fertility-Anniversary-Edition/dp/0060881909/) and signed up for a free account at fertilityfriend.com to track temperature and fertility signs. They have a mobile app, too!

  3. I found a few great articles on the Conceive Easy website that provide more information on how to chart your basal body temprature:

    http://www.conceiveeasy.com/get-pregnant/how-to-chart-your-bbt/

Hope that helps! I plan on doing the same.

  4. You were smart to find Mr. Right first! I read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" too, but I knew that things like calcium, folic acid, iron, angelica sinensis and viburnum opulus are important for hormone regulation and fertility. My doctor said the ingredients are perfectly safe, so I am trying it as we speak.

  8. Hi, I ordered this kit and can't wait to try it! One question, do I still take my daily prenatal while I'm taking the fertibella? I know how important it is to take folic acid and other vitamins when ttc.....but on the Conceive easy website they say that once you get your BFP, you stop taking the fertibella pills and start taking a prenatal. BUT.....taking a prenatal is important before even conceiving.
    What did all ya'll do?

    1. I would ask your doctor to make sure. You can call your clinic and ask the nurses too. They are usually very helpful.

  13. Hi there again, I ordered the Conceive Easy a month ago. Today I took the last of the included pregnancy test and the test line is kind of faint. The control line is very dark. I ran to the CVS and bought a PT but it says negative.I don’t know if it is because is too early or just because I drank too much water just before taking the test. (the instructions said not to do so, oops)
We are looking for a 2nd baby and I don’t know if I should get exited or sad. Does any of you had this faint line 3 days before your period?
I need some help here please because I really don’t know what for to cry, if I am or not am pregnant!!!

  15. Hey ladies here is my story.
I brought Fertibella which is what it was called back in 2010 before the company changed it name. I got prego with in the first 3 months. Sadly it was an epileptic pregnancy and that was very depressing. Hubby and I tried again a year later. I purchased the product and discovered but after a few months I stop taking it because it didnt work for me the second time. Now its August 2013 and we are going to try once again. I purchased my order and received my bottles and noticed that this time the name had changed from Fertibella to Conceive Easy. Being the OVER organized person I am I saved my old bottles and realized that the ingredients had changed with the first month supply. There was no Progesterone. I started to think maybe this is why I didn't conceive the second time. No where on the internet or on their website did it state that they had changed their ingredients. I called them and spoke with a young lady who after placing me on hold informed me that none of the months have progesterone in it any longer. I was kinda shocked. I am now 2 weeks into my first bottle and have decided to order progesterone over the internet. I just wanted you all to know. They should tell us that they have taken this product out.
