Lume Kids Jr. Sleeve Rain Boots Review

*I was not paid for this post but provided with a pair of boots for the purpose of review and my honest opinion. The following is my thoughts and review....

Living in Oregon, rain boots and gear are a year round staple - especially for the kiddos. Take today for example, June 20th, very near the first day of Summer and it is pouring buckets of rain from the sky. Does that mean we stay inside? NO WAY! We put on our gear and head out for fresh air!

I was so excited when Lume contacted me to review their kids boots. For one, not only do we use our rain boots like crazy but also because they are designed right here in Oregon! I love working with a local company!

We had the opportunity to review a pair of the Kids Jr. Sleeve w/ Pocket boots for Big Brother and he chose their bright green "Inchworm" color. All of the colors are fun and fantastic but the Inchworm is really really cool. They also come in Black, Carnation Pink, Wisteria, Hot Rod Red and Mac & Cheese. What fun colors and names. Based on their sizing chart we ordered an 11, Big Brother wears a 12 in most shoes so I would say they run just about a size large.

So what makes Lume so unique? The most obvious reason is the super neat and patent pending sleeve or pocket on the outside upper of the boot. Say what? Yes you read that right, a pocket! How super fun and super smart. What child wouldn't love a pocket on their boots for stuffing all their treasures? I know Big Brother will be bringing home all sorts of stuff in his boots. I'm just waiting to find a frog! And even with a pocket these are 100% waterproof rubber and -20 degrees neoprene. Great for rain or snow and so comfortable for little feet. I love the soft neoprene tops because kids can actually run and play in these boots and they aren't so stiff and chunky.

Big Brother absolutely loves these boots and they keep him on the move. They have great traction and are smartly made to keep your kids feet dry and warm. Notice how the tops hug your child's leg and pants, keeping rain and snow out unlike traditional rubber boots. From our backyard to the farm to our camping trips the Jr. Sleeve boots haven't let us down and still look as good as new!

Now for the part I'm sure you all want to know...the price. Right? Well you will be happy to know that the Kids Jr. Sleeve w/ Pocket are just $48! (Free shipping to the lower 48 states too!) Lume's goal is to offer premium outdoor gear for families WITHOUT the premium price tag! They have smartly figured out their marketing plan to get their awesome products to you at a price you can afford. No more waiting for sales, because as you know when your kids feet grow you need new shoes/boots right away, not in a few months.

The Kids Jr. Sleeve w/ Pocket come in kids size 7-13 but good news they also come in Youth from size 1-6. And even better news for the mama's, coming this Fall they will have two styles in our size too! The Women's Sleeve and the Women's Emily. I know what I will be putting on my Christmas list this year!
