TeetheMe Review

Monthly subscription boxes are all the rage right now and I think they are a fun fantastic idea! I was lucky enough to get a chance to review the new box out by TeetheMe.

Now TeethMe really caught my eye because it is all about the latest and greatest baby/kid items on the market. And I LOVE kid stuff. I can spend hours and hours searching and reading reviews when I'm on the hunt for a new product for my boys. After all we are on a budget and my hard earned dollar needs to go to a quality item that will last and was worth my purchase. I want to know the in's and out's and all reviews before I make the plunge and purchase. That is where TeetheMe comes in.

TeetheMe was founded by Akemi Williams as she was overwhelmed by all the baby products and choices out there. Not only is she a Mom to a 3 year old little girl, she is a working mother as well. She realized she would rather be spending her extra time with her daughter than researching baby gear. And  thus TeetheMe was born.

Each month with TeetheMe you get 4 to 5 products targeted to your child's age group, anywhere from newborn to 3 years old. Each product is hand picked by savvy moms as being the most innovative, practical and unique products available.

Now what makes this really cool is that not only do you get a box of really fun baby/kid stuff but TeetheMe is an online community as well. You can rate, review and share your experiences with the products you received and socialize with other Mom's (or Dad's). You will also have valuable information at your fingertips the next time you are on the hunt for a specific item for your kids. Find out if an item was a hit...or a miss all in one spot!

And it doesn't stop there, TeetheMe also has a Social Community for Moms and "the Diaper Bin" a place to catch up on your favorite mom blogs, parenting trends, celebrity news and more!

You really must check it out for yourself! But here is a peak at my box!

My box was jam packed full of fun stuff! Here is what my box had...
• Earth Mama Angel Baby Bottom Balm
• Green Sprouts insulated bottle bag
• Green Sprouts Teether
• Dr. Robin Sunscreen Samples
• Bridgewater Candle Company small candle
• Geenleaf Sachet

The first thing I noticed was the wonderful clean smell from the candle and sachet. And opening the box was like a Birthday or Christmas present. Every time it will be a fun surprise. And I can honestly say other than the candle and sachet which will of course be used, everything was used immediately. The teether and bottle bag were so cool and I had heard of Dr. Robins but hadn't tried it yet. So this gave me an opportunity without splurging on a whole bottle in case I might not like it.

You also get a card with all the items in your box listed with a brief description, as well as directing you to TeetheMe.com to order more if you liked the product.

I love this as a baby shower or new baby gift idea. What a wonderful way to welcome new parents and baby and hopefully ease their stress of searching for the best new baby/kid products!

Each monthly membership is just $24 or you can get a 6 month or 1 year option as well. You can cancel anytime and shipping is always FREE! Purchase TeetheMe here!

And don't forget to check them out on Facebook for all the latest and greatest news, products, photos and of course giveaways!

Are you a savvy Mom? I know I am!

About Small Concept
Small Concept was born from a love of and obsession with tiny tot style. They carry modern, cool, hip quality apparel, nursery furniture, toys, maternity and so much more! Brands such at Tea Collection, Appaman, Deuz Par Deux, Magnificent Baby, Wonder Boy and new additions to their maternity line such as Lilac Clothing and Olian Maternity.

Her mission at Small Concept is simple: to provide you with quality products and deliver only the best in customer service. She looks forward to getting to know you and she'd love to hear from you!

Small Concept Review
Small Concept carries a huge variety of high quality children's clothing, gear, toys, gifts and even cloth diapers and maternity! A lot of the brands I hadn't even heard of, but they are really cute hip and modern. A style and price for everyone.

I (Big Brother) was excited to have the chance to review the "Big Dog" shirt by Wes And Willy. And a pair of matching blue Appaman Flip Flops.

I had never heard of Wes And Willy but the shirt is adorable and a super thick nice soft cotton. Generous in size. I got size 4T and Big Brother who is almost 4 should be able to wear this shirt for quite sometime. The graphic is quality and bold and bright. I especially love and so does Big Brother, that the "Big Dog" looks just like our dog!

The blue Appaman Flip Flops match the blue dog graphic perfectly and makes such a cute summer outfit. I ordered the size medium for age 2-4 and they really could be a tad bigger for Big Brother. Not much growing room left. They are also a little stiff and need to be broke in a bit, although Big Brother thinks they are awesome and hasn't complained at all. They also come in 5 fun colors.

Julie has been awesome to work with. So nice and helpful, always a quick reply to emails and a genuinely nice person to work with. My review package came super quickly and was wrapped up so cute in the Small Concept paper and sticker. What a fun store to select and send a baby shower, baby, birthday or any occasion gift or gift card.

Small Concept also offers a Gift Registry. Sign up to and share with friends and family and be confident you will receive a gift to fit your style and needs!

Follow Small Concept on Twitter and Facebook to keep up to date with all their new arrivals, specials, giveaways and just all around fun kid stuff & more!

WIN IT: Small Concept has been extremely generous and is offering one of my readers a $30 credit to their store in the Summer Solstice Giveaway Hop which runs from June 18-24!

Summer Cloth Diaper Giveaway Hop (Sponsor Spotlight): Greenie Beanie Bottoms & Happy Heinys

I LOVE RED! I pretty much love red anything. But for some reason it seems red cloth diapers are hard to come by and I had ZERO red in my stash.

So how excited was I when I got the opportunity to review a Happy Heinys one size pocket snap diaper, from Greenie Beanie Bottoms...in my choice...RED!

About Greenie Beanie Bottoms
Greenie Beanie Bottoms helps make modern day cloth diapering easy. They offer many products to serve your cloth diaper needs as well as Mom products, bath & body and even teething necklaces. If it is something you need for your green life, you can almost guarantee they are going to carry it. They also offer FREE SHIPPING on all orders! And that is one thing that makes a huge difference in where I shop. (Note: they accept U.S. orders only)

About Happy Heinys One Size Pocket Diaper - Snaps
• Made in the USA
• Use their own custom milled fleece
• Fit baby from birth to potty training (8-35 pounds)
• Many different colors and prints
• Tested up to 12 hours at night for most babies
• Come with two microfiber inserts (small & large)

Happy Heinys One Size Pocket Diaper Review
Well not only do I love this diaper because it is red, but so far I've had zero daytime leaks or problems. It fits Little Brother perfectly and I like that you have 4 size selections. There is a large opening for the pocket for easy stuffing and the inside fleece is super soft.

I also love that it came with a small microfiber insert and a large insert. I was so hoping that this would be the answer to my night time heavy wetter, however Little Brother can still wet through both inserts and be soaking wet in the morning. So please if you read this and have a tried true diaper or method for heavy wetters, I'm all ears! However I like to double the inserts when we are traveling or out and about and can't make frequent diaper changes.

I was able to review the snap diaper as lately Little Brother has been undoing his hook and loop diapers faster than I can put them on. So the snaps hold good and tight and Little Brother has yet to pull them off. Whew!
The diaper has a great fit with no sagging or gaping around the legs and at $18.95 you are getting a good quality diaper and two inserts. Plus a one size will save you money through your diapering years.

Make sure to check out Greenie Beanie Bottoms on Facebook for fun giveaways, coupon codes and cloth diapering information. They have great customer service and are happy to help with any questions you might have.

And right now through July you can save 10% off your order, as well as free shipping with the code FLUFF10! Now that is a great deal!

WIN IT: Want another great deal? Greenie Beanie Bottoms is offering any one in stock One Size Happy Heinys diaper to one of my readers in the upcoming Summer Cloth Diaper Giveaway Hop! This giveaway will start on June 21-30! So make sure to come back and enter, where you can win this and other cloth diaper related prizes!

Summer Solstice Giveaway Hop (Sponsor Spotlight): Rain or Shine Kids

June 18th. Oregon. Raining. Yet 2 days ago it was 90 degrees. That is how Oregon weather is most of the Summer. It could rain on any given day, so you just better be prepared for anything.

Thankfully Rain or Shine Kids, located in neighboring Seattle, Washington can relate and have created fun, hip, urban products to keep not only us Oregonians prepared, but families all over the world!

I had received a ROSK Woobee Fleece blanket when Little Brother was born and since he was born in February it was perfect for covering the stroller and baby carrier. So I was so excited to now have the opportunity to review one of their Sun Covers!

About ROSK
Rain or Shine Kids started in 2005 with the all weather multi-purpose stroller blanket, the WooBee. Heather Correa founded ROSK trying to keep her daughters dry in the unpredictable Seattle weather. With it's fun, functional and smart design, ROSK quickly became a parenting essential.

ROSK is a true family owned business. Their products are tested from the mountain to the beaches and are manufactured in Seattle as well as a hand selected, like-minded factory overseas.

ROSK Review
We walk every single day. Usually for about an hour around our neighborhood. Not only do me and the boys need to get out, but our very large dog needs some exercise too. Thank goodness for double strollers and now the Sun Cover!

The canopies on the double stroller are pretty good for sun coverage, but the boys little legs would always stick out. It is such a pain to lather up the sunscreen when you just want to get outside and get moving. Especially with nap schedules and all the other things we have to work around in our day. The ROSK Sun Cover is perfect for this! And since babies 6 months and younger can't wear sunscreen at all, this is a must have for keeping the little ones safe and comfortable.

The Sun Cover is generous in size, bell shaped to fit all configurations of baby seats, strollers, baby carriers, etc. It measures 33" in length, 22" width at the top and 33" width at the bottom. It has two sets of ties to secure the cover so it stays put! It is lightweight at only 6 ounces, white so it doesn't get hot and protects at UPF 45+!

The Sun Cover easily fit the double stroller (minus Little Brother kicking and poking his feet out the sides). It was perfect. I felt good knowing the boys were safe, yet cool on our walk. This is something that will be used each and every day here at my house and is lightweight enough it can easily be thrown in the diaper bag for outings as well. Bonus I got to review the Sun Orange color and it matches our stroller!
The Sun Cover comes in 5 fun bright edging colors. You can purchase them here. And make sure to keep up with them on Facebook for updates and sale specials too!

Along with the ROSK Sun Cover and line of Rain Blankets, ROSK has added fun bibs and burp clothes as well. Check them out, you'll be glad to have the protection for your kids!

WINT IT: ROSK has generously offered a Sun Cover in your choice of edging color to one of my readers in my Summer Solstice Giveaway Hop going on now! This giveaway runs from June 18-24 so make sure to enter to win this and other fantastic kids products! ENTER HERE!

Father's Day Love you to pieces - pinspiration

I had spotted this project on Pinterest from Nothing but Country. My husbands favorite candy is Reese's Pieces, so I knew it would be perfect!
Pinspiration from Nothing but Country
I found this fun little round jar that has just been waiting for a project and got it all cleaned up. My boys and I walked downtown to our market for the Reese's and I created and printed a little tag on photo paper from my home computer. I just used plain white printer paper for my band and wallah! Done!
I also glued plain white printer paper to the top so the boys could sign their names and put a date. Daddy can use this as a candy jar on his desk at work now too.

This project was so easy, yet such a cute little gift from me and the boys! When my husband got home from work Big Brother couldn't wait and immediately sent him to the closet where he had hid the jar.

A tasty treat to end Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the amazing Daddy's, especially mine here at home!

Update
I've had such an overwhelming response to this adorable and affordable project and many requests for a free printable of the "Pieces" tag that I couldn't let you all down.
(right click to download the image and when printing you can change the percentage to make it bigger or smaller depending on your jar size)

Summer Solstice Giveaway Hop (Sponsor Spotlight): Powder Pouch

It's finally Summer! This means camping, beach trips, sandbox' and being outdoors! And this means LOTS of dirty sandy kiddos! All of that sand can be left on the beach and at the door with the help of Powder Pouch!

I had spotted Powder Pouch online and I knew this would be a welcome item to our house. My sons' sandbox is just outside our back door, which means A LOT of sand entering the back door with the kids.

About Powder Pouch
Powder Pouch was created by a fifth-generation beach family who learned their love of the sand did not need to carry over into their homes.

  • Drawstring bag encloses a soft, 100% cotton pouch
  • Washable and refillable
  • Comes with a starter supply of talc powder
  • Helps keep sand out of vehicles and upholstery
  • Makes changing baby diapers on beach more comfortable for everyone involved
The Powder Pouch is a small cotton pouch that is filled with talc powder. The pouch has a Velcro closure so you can refill the pouch when it's empty. They come in all sorts of fun designs and patterns and store in a little leather drawstring bag. It's easy and fun to use. And small enough to take anywhere.
You simply remove the Powder Pouch from the drawstring bag, give it a few taps to release the powder and then gently wipe the sandy skin. All sand will fall easily away. And it did!

Powder Pouch Review
We used ours in the sandbox for my review, however I plan on keeping one with us for traveling as well. Cleaning up the kids wasn't even a fight. Big Brother requested his own and could easily wipe the sand off all by himself. He even likes to get out of the sandbox, use the Powder Pouch then get back in so he can do it all over again. The sand falls off easily just as promised.
They are small and clean so very easy to throw in the diaper or beach bag and this is a must have for diaper changing on the beach! Best of all you can wash them, refill them and reuse them!

Each Powder Pouch is just $8.99 and comes with a starter supply of talc powder. But as they mention on their website, everyone will want their own. So check out their buy 5 get one free variety pack!
